I am a communication enthusiast who finds fulfillment in helping others authentically and effectively convey their truest ideas.

I LOVE WORKING WITH GROUPS

I've taught interpersonal communication and public speaking at Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) and North Carolina A&T State University. My belief is that while there are many extraordinary theories, assessments, philosophies, and logical approaches that can help us improve our internal and external communication, our practical knowledge can be enhanced by a commitment to authenticity and spiritual practices.

I have found that my most effective personal and professional encounters have been those through which
the vast spiritual world has been acknowledged and leveraged.

My work reflects these values.

Ms. Nxumalo is an amazing teacher. She brings greatness to the minds of others who were not thinking about it. I wish other teachers would follow her lead. She really cares. It felt as if I was more than just a student in her class.

GREENSBORO COLLEGE

Joining this Voice and Verse poetry class as a judge was an inspiring reminder of the power of our words. These students are brilliant.
No one tells our story better than us.

WINSTON SALEM STATE UNIVERSITY

Women of Color have unique struggles with standards of beauty. It was such an honor being part of this group of lovelies as a panelist for Our Beauty Matters. This crew was magical.

Hayes-Taylor's Black and Latino Achievers (BLA) Program focuses on youth leadership development. I was invited to speak as the keynote for their 2016 annual breakfast. The youth spoke about their "future selves." Relax... We're in great hands.

Working with this group of incredible young adults was transformative. Leadership development and spiritual formation are two of my favorite subjects. Flamebuilders brought both together in a unique and powerful way. What a dream!

If I didn’t define myself for myself, I would be crunched into other people’s fantasies for me and eaten alive.
